Kormotech reports $163M revenue, plans expansion in Eastern Europe

The pet food manufacturer said it boosted sales and market share and is now setting its sights on becoming a top 30 global producer.

Kormotech has announced it ended 2024 with a turnover of $162.7 million, a 6.5% increase from 2023, and sold 83,000 tons of pet food — a rise of 10,000 tons compared to the previous year. The premium segment led production at over 37,000 tons, accounting for 44% of total output. Kormotech's top five sales markets include Romania, Bulgaria, Lithuania, Latvia and Moldova, with 55% of its products exported, primarily targeting Central and Eastern Europe through 2028.

“Our distributors are the foundation of our success in these regions,” said Yuriy Bykoriz, managing director for Central and Eastern Europe. “We are committed to providing them with top-quality products and introducing new assortments and brands to meet rising demand. Strategically, 2025 is set to be a breakthrough year for Kormotech in Central and Eastern Europe.”

The company’s portfolio includes brands such as Optimeal, Club 4 Paws and My Love, with the new Delickcious brand already available in Romania, Lithuania and Poland. In 2024, Club 4 Paws was the fastest-growing brand in the region, noted the company. Nazar Shchyryba, head of the Baltic, Czech Republic, Poland, Hungary, and Slovakia, said Lithuania exceeded its sales target by 14%, with Club 4 Paws achieving 31% consumer recognition. "We are performing even better than anticipated,” said Shchyryba.

Kormotech is now revising its go-to-market strategy to rank among the top five pet food manufacturers in the Baltic markets, aligning with its goal of reaching €500 million (US$522.5 million) in revenue and joining the global top 30 producers by 2029.

The company currently operates three production facilities — two in Ukraine and one in Lithuania, which has been operational since 2020 — and produces products for brands such as Optimeal, Club 4 Paws, My Love and Delickcious.
