Dr. Sebastian Csaki brings international policy and sustainability experience to lead the Global Alliance of Pet Food Associations.

The Global Alliance of Pet Food Associations (GAPFA) has named Dr. Sebastian Csaki as its new secretary general, effective immediately. Csaki will oversee the organization’s global efforts to promote access to safe, nutritious and sustainable pet food.

With more than two decades of experience in international association management, policy, and food and feed safety, Csaki has worked with multinational companies and global institutions. He is also a founding partner at AdAC Communications, which will support GAPFA’s strategic and communications efforts.

“I am very pleased with this appointment,” said Loretta Hunter, president of GAPFA. “Sebastian’s global experience and knowledge of international association leadership will be instrumental in advancing GAPFA’s mission to provide unified leadership in representing, promoting, and supporting the global pet food industry.”

Csaki continues to serve as a senior advisor to the International Feed Industry Federation (IFIF) and is a director of the Global Feed LCA Institute. His previous roles include leadership in global corporate affairs at LVMH and McDonald’s Europe.

GAPFA, based in Belgium, represents pet food manufacturers worldwide.
