Oh Norman!, the pet wellness brand co-founded by actress Kaley Cuoco, has closed a US$2.08 million funding round that brings the company's total funding to over US$5 million since launching in 2023.
The round exceeded its initial $1.5 million target by 39%, attracting investors from consumer wellness, pet care, venture capital, and entertainment sectors. Mars Petcare's Leap Venture Studio participated alongside new investors Brown University, Incuvate/NQV8, Golden Seeds and 1731 MGMT.
Individual investors included co-founders Cuoco and Katie Hunt, as well as Tractive founder Michael Hurnaus and returning institutional investors.
"At 1731 MGMT, we believe the best brands are built by passionate founders who are driven to make a positive impact," said Dace Graham, managing partner of 1731 MGMT. "Oh Norman! embodies that spirit with a strong commitment to the well-being of pets and their owners. We're excited to partner with Oh Norman! as they continue to innovate and elevate the pet wellness industry."
The company gained initial traction with its calming supplement Calm the Eff Down! and announced a partnership with Chewy in April 2025 to expand product accessibility.
"With support from our most recent investors, we're well-positioned to accelerate our mission of delivering science-backed pet wellness products while championing ethical and eco-conscious practices," said Hunt. "Together, we'll further improve the lives of the animals we love while giving back to the ones in need."
Cuoco said she started Oh Norman! because of one simple truth – a love dogs and belief they deserve to live the healthiest life possible. "My goal was to create high-quality products that dogs and their people would love," she explained. "Everyone on the Oh Norman! team, including our investors, share that same passion, and it drives everything we do. I'm incredibly proud of what we've built so far and how we've been able to make a difference in the lives of dogs and their owners."
The company operates with a six-person, all-female team that includes chief operating officer Danielle Birkenfeld, former director of operations for Coach; vice president of product Kate Onorato, an early employee of Bark Box and former head of product for Wild One; and vice president of creative Nat Girsberger, who has grown Oh Norman's social media following to over 250,000 followers.
CEO and Co-founder Katie Hunt previously served as the third employee of Warby Parker and chief brand officer of dating app Hinge.
The company plans to use the funding to expand its product portfolio and accelerate business growth in the pet wellness sector.
