The Nutriment Company (TNC) has acquired Easy-BARF, a French fresh pet food manufacturer. TNC said the transaction gives it a position in France, Europe's third-largest pet market, and represents the company's eighth acquisition in 2025.
Founded over 10 years ago by Ariane Byhet and David Boulle, Easy-BARF specializes in fresh pet food and maintains cold chain controls while working with local suppliers for product traceability. The company currently serves 80% of its customers through direct online sales and has automated its production facility to increase capacity.
TNC said under its ownership, Easy-BARF will expand its product range to include recently launched fresh gently cooked products. TNC plans to use its business-to-business capabilities to bring Easy-BARF products into retail distribution channels.
"Easy-BARF has been a growth story ever since we founded the business in 2015, and we are very proud of what we have achieved together with our loyal customers," Byhet and Boulle said. "We are confident that The Nutriment Company is the perfect owner to take the business forward – it is in safe hands. We are excited to follow the continued growth of natural premium pet food in France."
Anders Kristiansen, CEO of TNC, said France, with Europe's third largest pet population, is a crucial market for its growth strategy.
"Easy-BARF immediately positions us as the leader in the French raw pet food segment," Kristiansen explained. "We are deeply impressed by what Ariane and David have built in just over 10 years, and we are extremely excited about further driving the growth of premium pet food in France."
