Mr Purrs Paté Feasts has been named the 2026 Cat Food Wet Product of the Year by the Pet Innovation Awards.
The company noted that the Pet Innovation Awards recognize innovation across the pet care industry, with winners selected by professionals in pet care, veterinary sciences and consumer goods. Entries are evaluated for creativity and originality, practical impact, safety and quality, overall benefits and potential industry influence.
The Paté Feasts recipes are moisture-rich, pate-textured wet foods formulated to support daily hydration and the nutritional needs of adult cats. The company positions the line as a lower-priced option within the wet cat food category.
The award comes as Mr Purrs continues its U.S. retail expansion, including a recent launch in Walmart stores nationwide.
"Wet cat food has been fairly boring for a very long time," said Alistair King, co-founder of Rhodes Pet Science. "The same kind of cans, the same kind of claims, the same kind of marketing. Mr Purrs exists because we thought that the younger generation of cat parents deserved better than what exists, and so did their cats.
