Interzoo 2022: Upswing in new registrations

Interzoo 2022 already exceeding registration expectations.

Only three months to go until the next in-person Interzoo in Nuremberg: The World’s Largest International Trade Fair for the pet supplies industry. Event has received additional exhibitor registrations.

“In the last three weeks we have received 54 new registrations, nine from Germany and 45 international,” says Gordon Bonnet, managing director of WZF GmbH. “That means more than 1,300 exhibitors from over 60 countries have registered so far for the World’s Largest International Trade Fair for the pet supplies industry. Many have told us they are itching to be able to present their new product developments in person again at last.”

Even if the Covid-19 incidence rates in Germany are still high, which understandably creates a sense of uncertainty, the current figures and scientific prognoses suggest the wave will soon peak, or may already have done so. That means there will be a green light for relaxing again and meeting in person without barriers. That is also the perception of WZF GmbH, the organizer of Interzoo, which will welcome visitors and exhibitors from around the world at the Nuremberg exhibition venue from May 24-27, 2022.

There have been the occasional inquiries from exhibitors in recent days regarding safety and conditions for traveling. “We are doing everything to ensure Interzoo is appealing, safe and successful for everyone taking part,” assures Bonnet. “And I firmly believe it will all work out. Our safety strategy enables in-person, face-to-face conversations with industry colleagues, beneficial new business contacts, experiences using all our senses, the pleasure of seeing new and old faces and discovering trends and inspiration for your own business.”

“In addition to the conversations at the exhibition stands, Interzoo offers a rich supporting programme,” adds Dr Rowena Arzt, director exhibitions for WZF. “Up-to-date presentations on the most pressing themes affecting the sector now and in the future will broaden and sharpen our attention to developments and trends in times of change. Attending Interzoo in person offers all that and much more.”

Robust hygiene strategy proves its value

“Our robust hygiene strategy, which we developed in collaboration with experts from the state of Bavaria and the local health authorities, has already proved its value at recent events,” says Heinz Priessmann, head of security and logistics management at NürnbergMesse. “It covers the entire Exhibition Centre, from the amply planned, contactless access strategy to the ultra-modern ventilation systems in our halls and the wide range of hygiene measures such as dispenser systems and ongoing disinfection throughout the venue. That creates a safe environment for our exhibitors and all visitors.”

In principle, trade fair participants from other countries are able to travel to Germany with no problems. The German government has defined participation in trade fairs as “essential business travel” and made it subject to TVR entry criteria (proof of testing, vaccination or recovery; “3G” in German).

In the opposite direction, the Interzoo team will travel from Germany to the USA to take part in the Global Pet Expo in Orlando, Florida, from March 23 to 25 with their own stand (stand number 1304). Bonnet and Arzt comment: “We are looking forward to lively conversations with people in the sector, who are all invited to Interzoo in Nuremberg from 24 to 27 May.”
