Mella Pet Care appearing on 'Shark Tank'

The team will showcase its health monitoring solutions for veterinarians and pet owners.

Mella Pet Care, a pioneer in pet health innovation, will be featured on ABC’s “Shark Tank” on March 1, 2024, at 8 pm ET. The Chicago-based company will present its groundbreaking Mella Home, the world’s first accurate and pain-free underarm thermometer for pets.

CEO Anya Babbitt, COO Ben Seidman, and Chief of Staff Daniella Morgan-Pascualvaca will showcase Mella’s comprehensive health monitoring solutions for both veterinarians and pet owners during the episode. The Mella ecosystem, including noninvasive technologies like a body fat analyzer, chip reader and pulse oximeter, aims to revolutionize pet care.

Babbitt expressed excitement about introducing Mella's vision for pet care to a national TV audience and the esteemed "Shark Tank" investors. Founded in 2019 after Babbitt's rescue dog faced health challenges, Mella Pet Care aims to enhance pet well-being by providing crucial health data and promoting preventive care.

On the upcoming episode, the founding team will present their case for transforming pet care technology and seek support from renowned investors Mark Cuban, Kevin O’Leary, Lori Greiner, Daymond John and Daniel Lubetzky. Mella Pet Care hopes that a partnership with the Sharks will accelerate product development, expand distribution channels and boost global brand awareness.
