Deborah Suchman, Polkadog’s co-founder, opened the company’s first bakery store in Boston’s South End because she’d moved there after graduating from college. That neighborhood feeling is something she’s imbued the company with over the years.

Polkadog began in 2002 as a pet treats bakery in Boston, Massachusetts, USA. In the last 22 years, it has both grown significantly and stayed true to its original identity: That of a neighborhood champion of healthy, happy pets and eco-friendly, sustainable business relationships.
