Ollie's survey of 1,000 dog owners found that 96% buy their dogs special holiday meals, with 51% purchasing luxury items and 23% spending over $100 on holiday gifts for their pups. The survey reveals that dog parents often prioritize their pets' holidays as much as family celebrations.

Ollie has launched Holiday Feast, a limited-edition seasonal recipe, along with a promotion that gives customers a chance to receive a Baccarat crystal dog bowl valued at $1,700.
Holiday Feast contains roasted turkey, turkey liver, butternut squash, green beans, sweet potatoes, potatoes and cranberries, among other ingredients. The recipe is available online to Ollie members in two-packs for $14 and at Petco locations nationwide in single packs for $7.49.
Baccarat promotion
From Oct. 8 through Nov. 3, customers who buy Holiday Feast through Ollie.com will be entered for a chance to receive the Ollieday Crystal Dog Bowl. The bowl is made by French crystal maker Baccarat and includes a custom sterling silver insert and custom packaging. Ollie said the bowls will be delivered in time for Thanksgiving and the winter holidays.
“The holidays are a time when we pull out our finest things for the people we love most,” said Allison Stadd, chief marketing officer at Ollie. “For obsessed dog parents, that list very much includes their pups. The Ollieday Crystal Bowl takes that obsession to a whole new level, giving dog parents an entirely unexpected way to celebrate their dogs and make their Holiday Feast feel as special as the pup sitting beside them.”
Ollie also will donate more than 1,700 meals to Nuzzles & Co., a nonprofit pet rescue and adoption center. The company said the number of meals reflects the bowl’s $1,700 value.
Ollie's survey findings
The promotion follows Ollie’s 2026 Holiday Obsession survey of 1,000 U.S. dog owners. Of those surveyed, 32% said they would buy their dog a high-end food or water bowl if money were no object, and 51% said they had bought their dog a luxury item or experience.
Nearly all respondents (96%) said they give their dog something special to eat during the holidays that it would not get on a normal day, and 95% said they buy their dog a holiday gift. Among respondents, 23% said they had spent $100 or more on their dog’s gifts in a single holiday season.
The survey also found that 37% of respondents had spent more on their dog’s gift than on a friend’s, and 19% had spent more on their dog than on a sibling. Nearly half (47%) said they had wrapped gifts for their dog, and 28% said they had spent more time choosing their dog’s gift than a person’s. One in five respondents said they had driven eight hours or more instead of flying so their dog could travel with them.
Survey respondents also described holiday purchases and preparations for their dogs:
- “I bought my dog a $1,000 coat.”
- “I baked a gourmet steak dinner and wrapped 10 individual toys for my spoiled dog.”
- “I spent more time making his food than for the family.”
- “I have made my dog an outfit by hand that took more than 30 days to complete. The quality of the fabric I use was purchased overseas and it’s 100% cotton.”
- “I have thrown a full party for the holidays just for my puppy.”
- “I canceled a holiday because my dog got sick, so no one was allowed to come over.”
- “I had bacon wrapping paper that smells like real bacon for their gifts.”
