C&D Foods acquires Continentale Nutrition

Ireland-based C&D Foods acquired French pet food manufacturer Continentale Nutrition after the Commercial Court of Boulogne, France approved the purchase on July 1.

Merger creates pet food specialty retail giant

Pet Valu and Pet Supermarket have merged to create the third largest pet specialty retailer and the largest small format, neighborhood, pet specialty retailer in North America.

Mondi acquires Turkish flexible packaging manufacturer

Mondi Group announced the acquisition of Kalenobel, a Turkish flexible packaging manufacturer, for €90 million (US$100 million) on a debt-and-cash-free basis. Kalenobel, headquartered in Istanbul, Turkey with two production facilities in Kırklareli, Turkey, will become part of Mondi's consumer goods packaging business and will be renamed Mondi Kalenobel.
