Raised Right has expanded its home delivery service nationwide in order to deliver the safest pet food possible to pet’s across America.

“All our food is lightly cooked in a USDA inspected human-grade facility and every ingredient has passed the same standards necessary for human consumption. Every single batch of our food is tested for e-coli, listeria, and salmonella through a 3rd party lab. We don’t ever ship our food unless it passes the lab safety test. The lab results are posted on our website for everyone to see, along with a map tracing all our ingredients to their source, and a video showing how our food gets cooked,” said Braeden Ruud, co-founder and CEO of Raised Right.

Braeden’s family’s roots in farming and ranching date back for centuries. The large number of recalls in the pet food industry inspired the Ruuds to create a company that pet parents can trust through placing a strong emphasis on safety and transparency. While raising food for humans, they decided it was time to start producing the same quality of food for pets.

Braeden’s mother, Mary Ann, started cooking her own food for their family’s pets in 2007 after the massive outbreak of pet food contamination that resulted in the death of thousands of pets. As time went by, friends and family reached out to Mary Ann with the hopes that she could start cooking for their pets because they didn’t trust the food they were feeding their pets either.

“We work with veterinarian, Dr. Karen Becker and pet food formulation expert Steve Brown to formulate recipes that are specific to each pet’s stage-of-life using limited ingredients. We don't add any preservatives or fillers like grain, potato, rice, corn, wheat, or soy to our recipes. All our recipes contain USDA certified human-grade meats, organic herbs, non-GMO oils, and superfoods like cranberries,” said Braeden.

Raised Right was recently recognized for its efforts by being named to The List of Trusted Pet Foods by Susan Thixton from TruthAboutPetFood.com.
