Lily’s Kitchen, a natural dog and cat food company in the United Kingdom, received a Royal Warrant from the Prince of Wales, reported the Telegraph. Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla fed Lily’s Kitchen to their dogs Beth and Bluebell for the past five years, which led to the Warrant.

“A Royal Warrant of Appointment is a mark of recognition of those who have supplied goods or services to the Households of HM The Queen, HRH The Duke of Edinburgh or HRH The Prince of Wales for at least five years, and who have an ongoing trading arrangement,” according to The Royal Warrant Holders Association.

About Lily’s Kitchen natural pet food company

In 2008, Henrietta Morrison founded Lily’s Kitchen after her own Border Terrier, Lily, responded well to her homemade dog food recipes, according to the company’s website. Lily had been suffering from a skin condition, which cleared up upon switching to the dog diet Morrison developed with veterinarians and nutritionists.

Lily’s Kitchen now produces premium natural and organic dog and cat foods, as well as treats and dental chews, all of which come in recyclable containers. Their promotions and packaging follow global trends in natural pet foods. For example, the brand promotes the physiological benefits of the pet foods, such as bone, joint or immune system support, on its packaging. Other claims include no artificial ingredients or fillers and complete nutrition.

In 2017, Lily’s Kitchen operated four facilities with 24 total employees, according to Petfood Industry’s Top Pet Food Companies Current Data. Annual revenues in 2017 stood at approximately US$40 million in 2017. Lily’s Kitchen’s revenues increased from US$6 million in 2012, the earliest year for which records are available.
