Rachael Ray announced a $4 million-dollar donation to support COVID-19 relief efforts, a donation made from her Yum-O! and Rachael Ray Foundation organizations. Inspired by the generosity, Rachael announced this morning on The View that her pet food partner, Rachael Ray Nutrish, will also donate 4 million meals to four-legged members of the family to keep them well fed.
This donation will be made through GreaterGood.org, whose Rescue Bank program provides donated food to animal shelters and pet parents in need. A portion of these donated pet meals will also go to Jose Andres’ World Central Kitchen, as the team continues to receive pet food requests from consumers, in addition to their own needs.
Pet food donations are incredibly important during these uncertain times, as the donations reduce the risk a family or foster pet is relinquished to a shelter.
