Supertails, a leading tech-enabled pet care brand in India, has launched its first offline clinic in Bengaluru, staffed entirely by Fear Free Certified vets and healthcare professionals. This initiative aims to transform stressful vet visits into calm, compassionate, and supportive experiences for pets and their parents.
"In our three-year journey to build a holistic pet care ecosystem, we’ve seen firsthand the challenges pet parents face," shared Vineet Khanna, co-founder of Supertails. "As pet parents ourselves, we understand the fear and anxiety that comes with vet visits. That’s why we’ve created a clinic that not only prioritises high-quality care but also focuses on the emotional well-being of pets. Healthcare is one aspect of pet care that requires more than just expertise — it demands compassion, empathy and most importantly, handholding."
India has a pet population nearing 38 million, with over 70% of pets not receiving regular veterinary care. Supertails aims to address this shortfall by providing accessible healthcare through both digital and physical services. The new clinic is designed to reduce fear, anxiety and stress associated with vet visits. It features different waiting areas for cats, dogs, and small animals, dedicated consultation rooms, and stress-reduction tools like toys and treats.
"Most pets dread a visit to the vet, and that fear can have long-term effects on their emotional and physical health," explained Dr. Swathi Hareendran, head veterinarian at Supertails+ Clinic Koramangala. "Fear Free Certification ensures we address those fears head-on. From the moment a pet enters, we focus on making their experience as stress-free as possible, which improves their overall health outcomes."
The 2,500-square-foot facility includes an on-site pharmacy, OPD, radiology rooms, grooming spaces and a diagnostic lab. Supertails also plans to introduce at-home care services to further support pet parents post-consultation.
In addition to the new clinic, Supertails offers a digital pet pharmacy, online vet consultations, and a comprehensive platform for pet essentials. Over the past three years, Supertails said it has served more than 500,000 customers, facilitated over 250,000 vet consultations, and delivered over 100,000 pharmacy orders.
Supertails plans to expand its offline presence with three additional clinics in Bengaluru within the next 90 days, with a vision to extend its model across India.
