The Nutriment Company (TNC), a European supplier of natural pet food, has acquired Yorkshire Raw Feeds, a U.K.-based raw pet food supplier, the company announced.
Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Yorkshire Raw Feeds specializes in raw pet food chubs, which it supplies to specialist pet retailers across Yorkshire and neighboring areas. The business also offers private label manufacturing. TNC said the deal strengthens its business with specialist retailers.
Operated by James Glover and James McVeigh, who drew on their backgrounds in the meat industry to establish the brand, Yorkshire Raw Feeds offers 100% raw, DEFRA-approved dog food in a range of proteins. The recipes contain no additives or preservatives, and the brand's meat is sourced from local FSA-approved plants in the U.K.
"The affordable raw segment is growing fast, and Yorkshire Raw Feeds has exactly what it takes to grow with it -- deep expertise, strong supplier relationships, and a loyal customer base built on trust rather than noise," the company said in its announcement.
Acquisitions continue
Headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden, TNC supplies natural premium pet food across Europe through brands including Nutriment, DIBO, Barfgold, AniForte and Natural Instinct. The company offers raw pet food, snacks and supplements through online and specialist retail channels. The company is owned by Nordic private equity firm Axcel.
In 2025, TNC has acquired 10 companies as part of its expansion strategy across Europe and into new pet food segments like cat food.
In May, TNC acquired Frostfutter Perleberg, a German direct-to-consumer raw feeding (BARF) platform, from K&K Petfood GmbH. Frostfutter Perleberg has operated for more than 15 years, producing frozen raw products, wet food, chews and supplements at its own facility, where it processes ingredients under EU guidelines. TNC said the acquisition expanded its direct-to-consumer business and its presence in Germany's fresh-frozen pet food market.
