The Human Animal Bond Research Institute (HABRI) announces at the Global Pet Expo that nominations are now being accepted for the Human Animal Bond Innovation awards. These awards recognize individuals, companies and organizations outside the pet care industry that are advancing the human-animal bond, fostering a more pet-friendly society.
“HABRI is inspired by the dedication of individuals and organizations honoring the human-animal bond,” said Steven Feldman, president of HABRI. “While there are remarkable pet care innovations showcased at Global Pet Expo, we seek nominations from diverse sectors. Innovations connecting pets and people can arise from any corner of society.”

The nomination deadline is May 20, 2024. To submit a nomination, visit www.habri.org/hab-innovation-awards. Nominations are accepted in four categories:
· Pet-Inclusive Culture: recognizes entities fostering pet-inclusive environments within communities, groups, or workplaces
· Public Service: acknowledges organizations with impactful programs strengthening the human-animal bond in their communities
· Pet-Inclusive Infrastructure: honors entities developing technology, transportation, architecture, policies or environments to support and enhance the human-animal bond
· Media: recognizes individuals, media outlets or content educating people about the human-animal bond
Nominations are open to the public and can be submitted online at www.habri.org/hab-innovation-awards. Winners will be selected by an expert committee of pet care leaders and announced at the annual SuperZoo convention in Las Vegas this August. Deadline for submission is May 20, 2024.
