Nestle Purina PetCare plans to expand its pet food manufacturing facility in Jefferson, Wisconsin, USA, reported the Daily Jefferson County Union. The proposed US$100 million expansion to Purina’s pet food facility would add 5,000 square feet or more of new facility space. Purina projects that the expansion will need at least 75 new full-time employees with average starting wages of US$25 per hour or more.

The pet food facility expansion and new equipment are expected to increase the company’s manufacturing capacity and accommodate new production lines. Output volume may increase by 30% or more.

The town’s council will vote on a resolution to support the planned expansion on July 19. The resolution would also grant various incentives to Purina.
