Nutrish, a pet food brand inspired by celebrity chef Rachael Ray, has launched a new packaging design alongside several new veterinarian-reviewed formulas aimed at supporting pet health.
The updated packaging will be seen on products such as Nutrish Grain Free for Dogs, Nutrish Whole Health Blend Puppy, and Nutrish Healthy Aging for Cats, making it easier for pet owners to identify the right choice for their pets.
“These intentional moves are intended to make it easier for pet owners to shop Nutrish while also helping consumers feel confident they’re making the right purchase to support their pets’ holistic health," said Tracy Fleischhacker Quigley, senior brand director, Post Consumer Brands, Nutrish. "Our mission is to provide a sensible choice that helps your pet thrive.”
Beyond packaging updates, Nutrish has brought its Whole Health Blend claim to the forefront of the portfolio, ensuring clear communication of key benefits consumers want: active mind, healthy body & balanced energy support. The company has also extended these benefits to both cat and dog offerings, including breed size and life stage formulations, available in wet and dry varieties
“We’re seeing a shift where pet owners are prioritizing health and wellness for their pets, similar to how they approach their own food choices," said Fleischhacker Quigley. "At its core, the move is all about reinforcing trust and transparency by elevating the product benefits consumers care about to help them feel confident in their sensible choice to feed their pets Nutrish,” said Fleischhacker Quigley. “By making the key claims and benefits easier to understand, Nutrish hopes to forge deeper, more meaningful connections to its consumers and their pets.”
Nutrish is also introducing a new set of consumers through programs on-shelf at local retailers and online, such as targeted displays, search, signage, coupons and paid social, as well as through philanthropic activations with animal shelters across the country.
“At Nutrish we prioritize formulas that meet dogs and cats’ specific needs that make them unique, and each pet may have different nutritional needs based on lifestyle, life-stage, and breed size of dogs," said Dr. Preston Buff, principal scientist of nutrition and animal safety at Post Consumer Brands. “With this packaging refresh, uncovering information that informs purchase decisions, including ingredients and nutritional benefits, will be even easier and provide consumers’ confidence knowing that when feeding Nutrish, you are serving your beloved pets completed & balanced nutrition available at a price you can afford.”
In addition, Nutrish has introduced new formulas, including Nutrish Whole Health Blend Large Breed for dogs, which is tailored to meet the nutritional needs of larger breeds; Nutrish Everyday Immune Support for dogs, designed to promote immune and digestive health with a blend of chicken, salmon, blueberry, and pumpkin; and Nutrish Everyday Digestion for Cats, formulated with prebiotics, live probiotics, and fiber-rich ingredients to support digestive wellness.
The Nutrish refreshed packaging has started to hit shelves and will continue to roll out nationwide through the spring and summer.
