Coperion will host an Industrial Ventilation Systems – Foundation & Design Course March 23-25, 2026, at the Kansas City Marriott Downtown in Kansas City, Missouri, U.S. The training program focuses on optimizing dust collection systems for facilities handling fine dry materials including powdered food, pharmaceuticals and baking ingredients.
"Our customers' focus is on delivering the best quality end product, so dust collection may not always be their primary focus, but it is one of those behind-the-scenes processes that makes the entire plant more efficient, sanitary, and safe," said Zach Griffey, sales manager of filtration at Coperion. "This course is tailored to help our customers understand and enhance their dust collection systems, preventing issues before they arise and ensuring their plants operate at peak performance."
The course includes hands-on experience with components such as fans, ductwork, filtration media, control valves, dampers and hoods. Training emphasizes ductwork design and system layout, with participants working alongside industry peers to address common plant challenges.
Andrew Ray, a senior ventilation engineer at Coperion with 20 years of experience, will lead the instruction. The course content draws on expertise from Coperion and Shick Esteve, a Coperion brand.
The program is designed for engineers, process designers, maintenance professionals and industry stakeholders working in sectors that handle fine dry materials.
Registration costs $500, which includes the Industrial Ventilation Manual: A Manual of Recommended Practice for Design – 31st Edition, breakfast, lunch and a group dinner. Enrollment is limited to 40 participants. Attendees will earn 24 continuing education contact hours.
