Petsmart Inc. announced its profits increased 6% in the third quarter, continuing a trend of upward movement for the company even through the recession.
The company reported earnings of US$38.1 million, 31 cents per share, in the quarter ending November 1.
Year-earlier figures were US$35.8 million (28 cents per share). Revenue increased 3% to US$1.29 billion.
Petsmart forecasts it will earn US$1.50 to US$1.54 per share for the full fiscal year.
