After much thought and deliberation, Marsh Dog has decided to close its doors. We invested significant time, effort, and resources into a national expansion in 2020, but, unfortunately, COVID frustrated those plans.
We want to thank everyone who has supported and helped us over the last ten years, including the Barataria-Terrebonne National Estuary Program, the Louisiana Department of Wildlife & Fisheries, the Louisiana Wildlife Federation, the Coalition to Restore Coastal Louisiana, the Louisiana Department of Agriculture & Forestry, LSU College of Agriculture, Representative Garret Graves, Suzanne Danna-Harlan, Fred McMullen, DVM (dec), Paul Davidson, and countless other groups and individuals who generously shared their time and knowledge to help us.
Most of all, we want to thank our customers. Dog owners across the country have helped us show that it's possible to harness the forces of capitalism to address pervasive environmental damage caused by an invasive species—wild nutria. We hope that others will be able to build on our efforts to combat similar environmental issues.
An astute man once said that the greatest threat to the environment is the belief that someone else will save it. We thank you for realizing this and for continuing to be good stewards of our planet.
