The global pet food ingredients producer, Duynie Ingredients, has been awarded as a top performing pet sustainability accredited company for the third year in a row. The Pet Sustainability Coalition (PSC) highlighted the top environmental performers of the pet industry at Global Pet Expo.
Duynie Ingredients has been a PSC member since 2018 and a PSC Accredited Company since 2019. This means that each year, Duynie Ingredients has measured and been verified by third-party companies to quantify the impact of its business and products for pets, people and planet. The Pet Sustainability Coalition rated Duynie Ingredients for 2020-2021 as one of the top 20 most sustainable companies of the pet industry. And now, in 2022, the company has been awarded as the top accredited company to reduce environmental impact for the pet industry. This award provides independent confirmation that Duynie Ingredients is a leader in sustainable pet food ingredients and contributes to sustainable pet food products.
Duynie Ingredients is Europe’s leading producer of sustainable plant-based ingredients for the pet food industry. All ingredients are based on plant-based co-products, locally sourced from the food industry. In its own factory in the Netherlands these co-products are processed using residual heat from a nearby bio-energy plant. This results in sustainable pet food ingredients like potato, carrot and other vegetable ingredients which have a lower carbon footprint than conventional alternatives.
