Hill's Pet Nutrition, a subsidiary of Colgate-Palmolive, completed the acquisition of the manufacturing facility of Nutriamo, an Italy-based canned pet food manufacturer. The acquisition is Hill's first canned pet food facility in Europe.
"This acquisition represents an important step in our global supply chain strategy to continue meeting the growing demand by pet parents for our science-based nutrition," said Hill's Pet Nutrition President and CEO John Hazlin, in a press release. "We will move quickly to increase our capacity to produce canned food and the volume will grow over time as we are able to manufacture more of our products in the facility."
According to Petfood Industry’s Top Pet Food Companies Current Data, Hill's Pet Nutrition sells more than 300 products, principally through authorized pet supply retailers and veterinarians in more than 80 countries worldwide. Hill's operates major manufacturing and warehousing facilities in Bowling Green, Kentucky; Topeka, Kansas; Emporia, Kansas; and Richmond, Indiana, USA. Its primary research center is located in Topeka, Kansas, USA. Hill's also runs major manufacturing and warehousing facilities in the Czech Republic and the Netherlands.
In 2020, Hill’s annual revenue reached US$2,525,000,000.
