“Alta Seeds and UPL are tremendous industry partners, and we are honored to have both companies as co-sponsors for our 2023 Sorghum PAC Series,” NSP CEO Tim Lust said. “As our partnership evolves, we look forward to delivering a next-level experience alongside Alta Seeds and UPL on a series that will do good things for sorghum farmers and our industry. Their collective support will also help us deliver, through our weekly newsletter Sorghum Notes, the most up-to-date information on policy and regulations impacting our members.”
“Now is the best and most effective time to support NSP’s PAC efforts in Washington with the growing recognition in the U.S., and world, that sorghum is a premier climate-smart, sustainable crop, especially for drought-stricken regions,” says Dean Loftis, North American marketing lead for Alta Seeds, the premium brand for Advanta. “As a leader in the sorghum seed industry, we’re excited to partner with UPL to take NSP’s PAC event series to the next level in the coming years and increase the profit potential for U.S. sorghum growers.”
“UPL is a leader in providing innovative and sustainable solutions for sorghum growers, through collaboration with Alta Seeds on their igrowth sorghum system and our partner herbicide IMIFLEX,” says Joe Vassios, food value chain lead for UPL North America. “In addition, we are pleased to invest with NSP to collaborate to accelerate progress in agriculture to build a successful future for sorghum growers and the industry.”
The 2023 Sorghum PAC Series, co-sponsored by Alta Seeds and UPL, will kick off with the annual Sorghum PAC Casino Night & Auction at the conclusion of the 2023 Sorghum Yield Contest Gala to be held March 10 in conjunction with Commodity Classic in Orlando, Florida. This event will be followed by the annual online auction hosted by BigIron Auctions and the Third Annual Sorghum PAC Golf Tournament, scheduled April 29, 2023.
