PMMI announced that nominations are open for the Packaging Hall of Fame Class of 2011, which recognizes packaging professionals for contributions to the industry and packaging education.
The annual honor will be presented at a reception during Pack Expo on September 26, in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. Nominations can be submitted directly by email or with an online nomination form no later than June 1. Submissions should be 1,500 words or less, and include a recent headshot of the nominee. Submissions should cite specifics that clearly describe how the candidate has: personally advanced the science, technology and practice of packaging; expanded packaging knowledge and the understanding of packaging; and been a remarkable volunteer leader in the packaging community.
“The Packaging Hall of Fame honors packaging’s greatest innovators, and induction is a true mark of distinction for the industry’s greatest leaders,” said Maria Ferrante, vice president of education and workforce development at PMMI. “Being inducted into the Packaging Hall of Fame recognizes a lifetime of work.”
