Nestle Hungária, the Hungarian unit of Swiss-based food giant Nestle, began trial production at the company's second petfood facility in Western Hungary, according to reports.
The new plant will serve as the regional production base for Nestle's US-based petfood division, Purina PetCare, exporting much of the company's production to central and eastern European countries. Nestle will hire 250 employees at the new plant. The company's other plant, also in Bük, currently produces more than 100,000 tons of petfood annually and employs 360 people.
