The American Humane Association Hero Dog Awards, presented by Cesar Canine Cuisine, will air on Hallmark Channel on Friday, November 11. The inaugural awards event celebrates the special relationship between canines and humans, and recognizes extraordinary acts of heroism performed by ordinary dogs.
More than 400,000 ballots were cast in the search for the winning dogs in eight categories: Law Enforcement and Arson Dogs, Service Dogs, Therapy Dogs, Military Dogs, Guide Dogs, Search and Rescue Dogs, Hearing Dogs and Emerging Hero Dogs.
Hosted by Carson Kressley of Queer Eye for the Straight Guy, the 90-minute Hallmark Channel special will begin at at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
