AIB International has completed an update of four of its 11 Consolidated Standards for Inspection.
AIB says the update was needed as a result of regulatory developments, including the US Food and Drug Administration Food Safety Modernization Act, and other industry best practices impacting the food and petfood industry.
The new requirements of the first four standards will take effect January 1, 2013. Changes to the other standards will be completed in a rollout during the course of 2013.
