Castor & Pollux petfood company recently presented CureSearch with a check for US$25,000 as part of the CureSearch for Children's Cancer partnership with PetSmart that began in 2012. As part of this partnership, proceeds from sales of Castor & Pollux Organix Large Breed Adult dry dog food were donated to CureSearch to support research in pediatric cancer.
The dog food bag's mascot, a Great Dane named Bentley, visited the 2013 CureSearch Walk for Children's Cancer in Chicago, Illinois, USA, where the check was presented. Children and families at the event had the chance to pet Bentley and ask questions about his role as a therapy dog, as well.
