Two grand prize winners, one cat and one dog, will have the chance to win free Solid Gold pet food for a year, plus a day of special pet treatment, including a professional photo-shoot and a catered meal with their human companions. The catered meal will include the “superfoods” and proteins that are used in the company’s pet food formulations.
To participate in the Happiest Pet on Earth contest, pet food consumers must follow Solid Gold Pet on Instagram at @SolidGoldPets, tag a photo of a pet they believe is happy with #SolidGoldSmiles and explain in the caption why that pet is the happiest. Instagram accounts must be set to public so that posts are visible. One cat and one dog will be selected on Friday, Nov. 18 as the grand-prize winners. Several finalists will also be chosen to receive special gifts from Solid Gold.
In September, Solid Gold Pet announced plans to move its corporate headquarters to Chesterfield, Missouri from Greenville, South Carolina. The pet food company will increase its operations team at the same time.
Solid Gold Pet will hire more than 20 employees over the next several months to support operations at its new dog-friendly headquarters. The company is moving into St. Louis in coordinated waves to avoid any disruptions to retail and vendor partners, according to Rubin.
