World Animal Day is fast approaching. We want to mark this important day and invite you to join a discussion about the importance of pets in our lives. How they made life better during the lockdown. How they assist us in life and health. And how we can improve wellbeing for both, pets and people. Let’s celebrate #PetPower!
We invite you to join us online on October 1st from 14h00 to 15h00, Brussels time.
Registration is open, so please go here to save your seat!
Animal lovers from all over Europe will come together during our interactive, virtual event. They will tell their stories of the positive role pets play in society, how they helped us through lockdown, the importance of responsible care of our pets, and more!
Our panel of experts:
- MEP Petras Auštrevičius will share views about the positive role pets play in society and the importance of better care for pets
- IAHAIO President Marie-José Enders-Slegers will talk about Human-Animal bond research, and the need for the relationship to be a two-way street
- Medical Detection Dogs CEO Dr Claire Guest will speak about the power of the dogs to detect human diseases and the COVID-19 Detection Dogs
- EU Dog and Cat Alliance chair Suzie Carley will talk about responsible pet ownership, why ‘A dog is for life, not just for lockdown’ and EU policy for pets.
The Telegraph’s Brussels correspondent James Crisp will moderate the discussion.
We want this event to be interactive and welcome participation from both you and your pet. You will be invited to share your own thoughts and opinions and to ask our panellists questions.
We look forward to celebrating World Animal Day with you!
