On Thursday October 1st, Prins Petfoods performed the official, festive opening of the Prins visitor center in Veenendaal, where the world of dogs and cats can be experienced in a unique way.
With this opening, the dream of the 100% natural dog- and cat food specialized family company Prins Petfoods is realized: a very own centre, where everyone can see and experience what Prins means by hospitality and passion for animals.
In a nutshell
The visitor center houses the Prins Experience, a tour that starts in the 60’s living room of Prins-founder Dirk Verkade and ends in the Prins brandstore. During the tour, the visitors enter a variety of different rooms. Here, the visitors can, amongst others, see how Prins creates its dog and cat food, how dogs and cats perceive the world and learn more about the senses and organs of these animals.
The tour through the visitor center is interactive. For example, a virtual chef, the ‘kibble chef’ of Prins, explains in the special kitchen room of the Experience how quality dog and cat food is made using the five major food groups. In this way, visitors can discover which ingredients are used by Prins, and why.
Everyone is welcome
In the visitor center, consumers as well as business target audiences are more than welcome. Animal lovers and professionals can book their ticket for different dates and time slots. The center, where the photo and film studio and auditorium of Prins are also present, has a surface area of almost 900 square metres and is bilingual: everything is both available in Dutch and English.
Book your visit
A complete catered visit to the visitor center takes two hours. Participation in the Prins Experience includes coffee, tea, a snack and a nice goodie bag and costs 7.50 euros. Prins donates the revenue of the entrance fee and brandstore to charities via the Prins Foundation. A visit can be booked via www.prinspetfoods.com/experience.
