Sales are now open for UnPacked21, the first sustainable packaging event for the pet industry hosted by the Pet Sustainability Coalition on February 23rd and 24th, 2021. UnPacked is a fully-virtual, action-oriented event dedicated to bringing together sustainable packaging experts and suppliers, as well as pet industry brands, manufacturers, and retailers, to unpack the ever-changing, quickly-developing details around packaging through world-class education.
This event builds off of momentum from the Coalition’s Impact Unleashed event last December that grew by over 300% and received accolades from attendees as the best 2020 event in the industry. The event includes networking sessions, a virtual exhibit hall, collaborative panels, and a special celebratory event for the top participating retailers in the Flex Forward ‘return to retail’ pilot program that recently reported successful collections of 5,000 lbs of used pet food and treat bags.
UnPacked takes a deep dive into sustainable packaging with both introductory and advanced topics like sustainable packaging 101, an introduction to circularity, as well solutions for sustainable packaging and the state of recycling in a COVID world. Importantly, brands, manufacturers and suppliers will take the stage together to share diverse perspectives and build solutions for all. “Sustainably will not be achieved in isolation, it will take the will and collaboration of partners to close the loop. From packaging companies and their suppliers, through brand owners and our consumers, we all play a part. Unpacked21 provides that space in the middle by starting the conversations that help us all find the partners we need to reach our goals.” Glenn Treliving, Thanh Phu Packaging.
UnPacked21 includes speakers from inside and outside of the pet industry including Wellpet, Earth Animal, Tyler Packaging, NOVA Chemicals, Trayak, Sustainable Packaging Coalition, the Center for the Circular Economy at Closed Loop Partners, and the US Plastics Pact.
UnPacked21 is sponsored by leading industry partners, including Platinum Sponsor NOVA Chemical, Media Sponsor Petfood Industry, Exhibit Hall Sponsor Mondi Consumer Flexibles, and Climate Champion sponsor PEEL Plastics.
Free limited access tickets provide access to the keynote address, exhibit hall and evening celebration. Single all access passes, 5-packs and company passes are available for full-access including speakers, workshops, and panels. Tickets are available at https://petsustainability.org/UnPacked21/
