Pet Summit 2025 to feature sustainability track in Orlando

The new track is one of five offered at the summit and will focus on practical solutions for sustainability in the pet industry.

The Pet Summit is set to take place in Orlando, Florida, from March 24-26, 2025, at the Orange County Convention Center. A highlight of the event will be the launch of the Pet Sustainability Track, sponsored by the Pet Sustainability Coalition (PSC).

This new track is one of five offered at the summit and will focus on practical solutions for sustainability in the pet industry. Attendees can learn from experts, participate in workshops, and connect with leaders in sustainability. Platinum Sponsor Morris Packaging, along with other sponsors, is supporting the initiative to foster innovation for the benefit of pets, people and the planet.

“By partnering with the Pet Sustainability Coalition, we’re empowering businesses to innovate and implement solutions that benefit pets, people, and the planet,” said Peter Scott, President and CEO of the American Pet Products Association (APPA). “Together, we can ensure a thriving, sustainable future for the entire pet community.”

Track highlights include:

  • Keynote speakers: Joanne Dwyer, vice president of corporate social responsibility at PetSmart, and Mia Davis, chief impact officer at Ollie.
  • Interactive sessions: Topics like sustainable packaging and regenerative agriculture sourcing.
  • Networking events: Including the PSC member cocktail hour and The Pet Summit after-hours reception.

Jim Lamancusa, executive director of PSC, emphasized the importance of the event, saying, “The pet industry is at a turning point, and The Pet Summit is here to help companies navigate it in ways that are practical, profitable, and impactful.”

The Pet Sustainability Coalition will also host a Sustainability Pavilion at the Global Pet Expo later that week, showcasing products and solutions from innovative brands in the industry.

With limited spots available for the Pet Sustainability Track, early registration is encouraged.
