The Kansas State University Pet Food Program has renamed its annual conference from KibbleCon to Pet Food Collab to better reflect its industry-wide focus on collaboration and knowledge-sharing.
“While the event has always been about more than just kibble, we have decided to evolve the name to reflect our collaborative mission better,” said Julia Guazzelli Pezzali, K-State assistant professor and Pet Food Program director. “KibbleCon brought together those dedicated to the pet food industry to share ideas, discuss challenges, and build relationships to solve common industry issues.”
Pet Food Collab will continue to emphasize interactive discussions and networking opportunities. “Designed to be small- to medium-scale, Pet Food Collab prioritizes the depth of engagement among participants,” Guazzelli Pezzali said. “At Pet Food Collab, all voices are heard, and every conversation matters. Covering a wide range of topics in pet food science - from economics to pet health, processing to product quality - Pet Food Collab brings together professionals from start-ups to multinationals across every industry sector. No matter your role or expertise, Pet Food Collab offers a space for everyone.”
The conference will cover a wide range of pet food science topics, including economics, pet health, processing, and product quality. Attendees will include professionals from startups to multinational corporations across various industry sectors.
Pet Food Collab 2025 will take place September 8-9 in Manhattan, Kansas, U.S., featuring networking events, keynote speakers, industry panels and student presentations.
“Our goal is to foster a learning environment that not only has the opportunity to unite people from across the industry but also helps them feel connected,” Guazzelli Pezzali said.
