Kansas State University is conducting a survey to gauge pet food professionals' awareness and perceptions of pet food dietary supplements and functional food additives. Results are expected to guide ingredient innovation, product formulation decisions and market positioning strategies across the pet food industry.
Participation is voluntary, and respondents may discontinue at any time without penalty. The survey includes standard demographic questions to characterize the sample, and those responses will remain confidential. Researchers said there are no anticipated costs, risks or discomforts associated with taking part.
All electronic data collected will be stored securely and used solely for research purposes. Identifiable information will be removed so responses cannot be linked to individual respondents. Following that removal, the de-identified data may be used in future research studies or shared with other investigators for additional research without further informed consent.
Pet food professionals with questions about the survey's wording or administration can contact Dr. Lonnie Hobbs Jr. at [email protected]. Questions regarding informed consent should be directed to Lisa Rubin, chair of the university's Institutional Review Board, at [email protected].
