Animal nutrition company Alltech has received four sustainability medals from EcoVadis, a leading business sustainability ratings platform, for its performance across key environmental, labor, and ethical business criteria.

The recognition includes two Platinum Medals — awarded to Alltech Coppens in the Netherlands and its Woolfox facility in the United Kingdom — placing them in the top 1% of more than 200,000 companies evaluated by EcoVadis. Alltech’s global operations and its manufacturing site in Serdán, Mexico, earned Silver Medals, ranking in the top 15%.

“Three years ago, Alltech outlined a strategic vision for our ESG ambitions with a focus on proof points and team confidence,” said Tara McCarthy, global vice president of ESG at Alltech. “It gives a great sense of achievement to the entire Alltech team to see that EcoVadis has recognized these efforts.”

EcoVadis assesses businesses across 21 sustainability indicators in four core categories: environment, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. Ratings are based on international standards, including the United Nations Global Compact principles and ISO 26000 guidelines.

The awards reflect Alltech’s ongoing efforts to improve environmental and ethical practices within its manufacturing and supply chain operations.

Alltech continues to reach for ambitious ESG targets, find areas for improvement and innovation, and strive to nurture a culture of sustainability,” McCarthy said.

Alltech plans to complete five more EcoVadis assessments in 2025. The company also tracks its ESG progress in its annual Sustainability Report, aligning its operations with the U.N. Sustainable Development Goals and other global frameworks.
