Royal Canin has introduced Corgi Adult and Puppy diets, the company's first new breed formula in five years, formulated to address the specific nutritional needs of the breed.
The diets are designed to support bone and joint health with EPA, DHA, glucosamine and precise calcium and phosphorus levels; coat condition via a nutrient complex targeting the breed's double coat; and digestive health through highly digestible proteins, fiber balance and prebiotics. The kibble shape and texture is designed for the Corgi's jaw structure to reduce intake rate and encourage chewing.
"As pioneers of breed-specific nutrition, Royal Canin has always prioritized the individual needs of pets when it comes to developing nutrition, and the launch of our Corgi diet is the latest example of our science-driven approach to breed-specific nutrition," said Kira Best, general manager, Healthy Pet & Pet Specialty.
The Corgi formulas bring Royal Canin's breed range to more than 60 formulas across cat and dog, joining lines for German Shepherd, Maine Coon and Golden Retriever, among others.

The recreated works and the contest-winner portrait will be available to the public at the AKC Museum of the Dog from May 20 to June 9 in New York City.
"By recreating iconic pieces of art out of our products, the kibble isn't just the medium; it's the message," added Best. "We have the opportunity to highlight the unique shape and texture that is crafted for each specific breed's diets across our portfolio."
