King Country Pet Food announces expansion

King Country Pet Food announces expansion with new facility.

Driven by the strong global demand for premium pet food with New Zealand provenance, King Country Pet Food is proud to announce its brand-new state-of-the-art facilities specializing in the co-manufacture of premium kibble. The facility is a significant investment with over 40,000 tons of annual capacity and is based over 4.7 hectares in rural New Zealand.

King Country Pet food specializes in the co-manufacture of premium Kibble and Kibble Plus products incorporating freeze-dried or air-dried components. New Zealand is renowned for its premium products, and the facility has been designed with the goal of making the most of these ingredients.

With first production starting in June 2022, King Country will become the largest and most modern pet food processing facility in the country. The facility has been designed with maximum flexibility in mind, and at the heart of the facility, will be a Wenger Thermal Twin-Screw extruder, designed to handle very high levels of fresh meats and fish. High speed automated packing equipment is also in place with the ability to handle a wide range of pack sizes. “Whatever your manufacturing challenge is we can help you deliver against the latest market trends and consumer demand for products”.

Underlying this investment, the business has brought together a team of people with decades of experience in pet food manufacturing. They can help guide your development from concept through to market launch.
