Interzoo 2024 holds event in Germany

2,100 exhibitors from 68 countries are attending the event.

Interzoo 2024, held in Nuremberg, Germany, from May 7 to 10, has once again established itself as the world's premier international trade fair for pet supplies, boasting record-breaking exhibitor numbers and an extensive supporting program.

With over 2,100 exhibitors from 68 countries and an anticipated 40,000 trade visitors from more than 120 countries, Interzoo offers a comprehensive platform for showcasing product innovations and industry trends in the pet supplies sector.

This year's event features more than 2,100 exhibitors spread across 14 halls covering a total display area exceeding 140,000 square meters. Additionally, attendees can benefit from six English-language short conferences and a full-day program on the "Fresh Ideas Stage" in Hall 3, providing insights and inspiration from around the world.

Interzoo's strong international presence, with 86 percent of exhibitors hailing from outside Germany and 15 national pavilions, ensures a diverse and unparalleled overview of the global market. Following Germany, countries with significant exhibitor representation include China, Italy, the Netherlands, Turkey, the USA, Belgium and the UK.

The global pet supplies industry continues to thrive, with the market experiencing revenue growth despite economic challenges. According to Euromonitor, the global pet supplies market reached approximately €182.7 billion in revenue, with further growth projected for 2024. Notably, North America and Western Europe are the largest markets, followed by the Asia-Pacific region.

In Germany, the pet market surpassed €7 billion for the first time, with significant contributions from bricks-and-mortar retail, online sales and specialized pet stores. Cats remain the most popular pets in Germany, followed closely by dogs, small animals, birds, ornamental fish and reptiles.

Interzoo 2024 serves as a vital platform for exploring current product trends, strengthening international business contacts and gaining exclusive market insights. The event features 15 national pavilions, a Product Showcase, and the Fresh Ideas Stage, where attendees can learn about future trends and innovations from start-ups and industry leaders.
