VetriScience announced a rebranding initiative and launched a new product at SuperZoo 2024 in Las Vegas.
The rebrand, which includes a new logo and packaging design, is VetriScience’s first in 10 years and reflects a change in the pet supplement marketplace and pet ownership trends, noted the company.
The rebranding effort reflects VetriScience’s commitment to meeting evolving consumer needs while maintaining its legacy of trust and innovation, said Dennis Marcel, VetriScience’s VP of marketing.
"While our appearance is changing, our unwavering commitment to quality remains the same," said Marcel. "Our products continue to be formulated by experts with over 150 years of collective experience and manufactured in FDA-certified facilities in the U.S."
Extensive keyword research and a survey of over 3,000 consumers gave VetriScience a deep understanding of consumer preferences, shopping habits and trust in information sources, which helped drive the rebrand direction, said the company. Its revived look represents its products' premium quality and effectiveness, with packaging that features straightforward, clear information on ingredients and benefits.
The rebrand responds to the shift in consumer behavior, including increased pet ownership and a growing focus on health-conscious choices. VetriScience said it aims to make its products more accessible and appealing to pet owners while educating them about pet health and wellness and empowering them to make the best choice.
Mobility supplement launch
Accompanying the rebrand, VetriScience expanded its comprehensive range of mobility supplements with the launch of HMB Healthy Muscle & Strength granules. This supplement is designed to maintain and improve muscle mass around joints, which is crucial for pet mobility and healthy aging.
The new product contains HMB, Type II collagen with hyaluronic acid and curcumin from turmeric. This shellfish-free, glucosamine alternative also offers a solution for pets with allergies or sensitivities to shellfish like green-lipped mussels, which is found in many hip and joint supplements on the market today.
"The Key ingredients in HMB Healthy Muscle & Strength are supported by research showing they may help increase protein retention in existing muscles as well as decreased degradation," said Dr. Elizabeth DeLomba, DVM, senior veterinary services consultant at VetriScience. "This helps to retain strength and muscle mass. It can be used alone or in conjunction with our Healthy Hip & Joint (formerly GlycoFlex) supplement for comprehensive mobility support."
The new packaging and HMB Healthy Muscle & Strength will be available to consumers starting fall 2024.
