Young Again dog food recalled over Salmonella concern

Pretty Bird International, a Minnesota, U.S., pet food maker is pulling nearly 4,400 pounds of dry dog food after a product test returned a presumptive positive for Salmonella.

Pretty Bird International, Inc., of Stacy, Minnesota, U.S., has initiated a voluntary recall of Young Again Pet Food Core Health Dog Food for medium to large dogs and puppies after the product tested presumptive positive for Salmonella.

The recall, initiated February 18, 2026, covers two SKUs of the Medium-Large Dog & Puppy Formula: a 10-lb. package (UPC 7 16432-92570) and a 25-lb. package (UPC 7 16432-92574). Both are limited to product with a best-by date of Oct. 28, 2026. A total of 4,375 lbs. of product is affected.

Distribution is nationwide. The firm notified consignees by email.The recall remains ongoing and has not yet received an FDA classification.
