Three Dog Bakery donates to Friends in Service

Three Dog Bakery makes donation to support veterans with service animals.

WHAT: Kansas City-headquartered Three Dog Bakery will present a check for over $25,000 to Friends in Service of Heroes (FISH) on December 1, 2022, at 10:00 a.m., following its annual Veterans Day fundraiser in which 15% of sales from its branded products on that day are donated. A long-time benefactor of FISH, Three Dog Bakery will make its biggest donation yet to the organization to help them partner service dogs with veterans in need. Three Dog Bakery has been supporting FISH since 2014, giving more than $85,000 in all.

Additionally, FISH will be awarding a service dog, Gary Lee, to former Marine and retired Army Sgt. 1st Class, Mark Miller. The service dogs they provide are trained to aid with physical disabilities, PTSD, emotional support and more and have proven to vastly improve the lives of our veterans.

“At Three Dog Bakery, we understand how impactful dogs are to our lives. We recognize that for many people, their dogs are not only their best friends but their guardians,” says xxx from Three Dog Bakery. “For us, the brave men and women in the armed forces are our guardians, so it’s an honor to be able to help provide a service dog that can do the same for them.”

FISH’s task and purpose are to serve both prior and current military members and their families. They are committed to advocating for the support and awareness of the sacrifices our Armed Forces have made. Part of this commitment includes providing 37 life-changing service dogs to veterans.

WHEN: Thursday, December 1, 2022 | 10:00 a.m.
