Charlee Bear Pet Products, purveyors of Charlee Bear Dog Treats, recently announced that Matt Setlak will be joining the company as Midwest Territory Sales Manager. His primary responsibility will be forging even greater long-term relationships with distributors and retailer partners in Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota, North Dakota, Iowa, South Dakota, Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, Nebraska, Tennessee, Missouri, Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas, and Wisconsin.
Prior to this position, Setlak served in a similar capacity for John A. Van Den Bosch Company, a premium pet food distributor headquartered in Michigan. He also held sales management positions of increasing responsibility with Precision Pet Products and Four Paws Products, as well as mastering all aspects of managing a retail feed store.
“We are extremely pleased that Matt has joined our growing all-star team,” commented Patrick McGarry, General Manager of Charlee Bear Pet Products. “His hiring is part of a multifaceted plan we have in place to enter new food and treat categories, while providing our valued customers with even stronger support.” To meet these new strategic objectives, the company recently acquired Hound & Gatos, makers of a nationally distributed line of premium canned diets for dogs and cats.
Pet owners want a lot from their pet food brands. They want primary proteins that suit what they believe is best for their animal. They want grains or they don't. They want something customized, but it has to be easy to understand.
Constraints and crises, like those experienced in 2020, help drive innovation and sustainability offers context.
