Nutribiosis, the interaction between nutrition, the gastrointestinal microbiome and the function of the gastrointestinal and immune systems, plays a key role in the health and performance of poultry and swine, but putting it into action means reconsidering strategies around nutrition and husbandry.

“We should stop thinking about nutrition and health as two independent sides, because we need to start to realize that nutrition, immune function and the microbiome are actually three pillars supporting the animal,” said Arno de Kreij, Ph.D., regional marketing director – ASPAC, Danisco Animal Nutrition & Health/IFF. “And these three pillars interact with each other.”
