American Humane, the nation’s first humane organization and the world’s largest animal welfare certifier, announced that The Honest Kitchen has become the official 2024-2025 Partner of its Second Chance Grants Program. The program provides crucial financial aid to cover the costs of caring for animals that are homeless or victims of cruelty.
The Honest Kitchen, known for its human-grade pet food, has a long history of charitable giving through its “Pawlanthropy” initiative. The brand has contributed a $24,000 grant to support Second Chance Grants, helping shelters and rescue groups manage the significant costs of rehabilitating and sheltering rescued animals.
Dr. Robin Ganzert, president and CEO of American Humane, expressed deep gratitude for the support, emphasizing the lifesaving impact the funds will have on vulnerable animals. Lucy Postins, founder and chief integrity officer of The Honest Kitchen, also highlighted the importance of providing love and good nutrition to neglected animals as part of their recovery.
