Symrise AG has announced a reorganization of its executive board. Effective September 15, 2024, Walter Ribeiro has been appointed to the executive board and will lead the Taste, Nutrition & Health (TN&H) segment, previously headed by Dr. Jean-Yves Parisot, the company’s CEO.
Dr. Jörn Andreas, the current head of the Scent & Care (S&C) segment, will step down from the executive board on September 30, 2024, to pursue new professional opportunities outside Symrise. During the search for a permanent successor, Dr. Parisot will temporarily oversee the S&C segment.
Michael König, chairman of the supervisory board, remarked, “With Walter Ribeiro, we have appointed an internationally experienced leader from within our company. As head of our Food & Beverage division, Walter has been instrumental in Symrise's transformation into a leading nutrition provider. I am confident the TN&H segment will continue to thrive under his leadership.”
Ribeiro, a long-time Symrise veteran, has held various management roles in Germany and abroad throughout his career. Most recently, he was responsible for Symrise's Food & Beverage division within the TN&H segment.
Dr. Jörn Andreas has been with Symrise for thirteen years, contributing significantly to the S&C segment's realignment. Symrise expressed gratitude for his leadership and wished him success in his future endeavors. Dr. Parisot also praised Ribeiro as a highly valued colleague and noted that the company remains focused on its continued success.
