RAWZ Natural Pet Food shows commitment to pet industry

The company celebrates National Service Dog Month with a $50,000 donation.

RAWZ Natural Pet Food, renowned for its minimally processed and nutritionally exceptional pet food, has once again demonstrated its commitment to making a difference by celebrating National Service Dog Month with a generous $50,000 donation. The donation was presented to National Service Dogs (NSD) during the Pets Canada Show and will support the organization’s ongoing efforts to enhance the lives of individuals with disabilities through the help of service dogs.

National Service Dog Month, observed every September, shines a spotlight on the vital role service dogs play in supporting individuals with disabilities. Janet Scott, owner of RAWZ, emphasized the company’s dedication to this cause: “Service dogs have an extraordinary impact on the lives of those they help. Our continued support for NSD reflects our belief in their incredible work and our broader mission to give back to communities in meaningful ways.”

Scott also expressed gratitude to Freedom Pet Supplies, a key partner in facilitating the donation. Owners John and Kelly Ayers also contribute to NSD, helping further the company's mission.

Danielle Forbes, executive director & co-founder of NSD, thanked RAWZ for its ongoing support, stating, “We are so incredibly thankful to RAWZ for their continued support. Their contribution will directly support our mission to train and provide service dogs to individuals and families across Canada, offering hope and empowerment.”

RAWZ is unique in the pet food industry for its philanthropic model, donating 100% of its profits (after taxes and reserves) to causes including cat rescues, service dog organizations, spinal cord injury and traumatic brain injury efforts.
