Holladay Distillery launches Bourbones dog treats

The Missouri distillery’s Bourbones treats are made with the same grains used in Holladay Bourbon, and a portion of sales supports animal welfare organizations.

Holladay Distillery, Weston, Missouri, has launched Holladay Bourbones, all-natural dog treats made with the same grains the distillery uses to produce Holladay Bourbon.

The bacon-flavored, bite-sized treats draw on the distillery’s 170-year distilling history but are formulated for dogs. Bourbones are produced in Kansas City, Missouri.

“We wanted to create something that was uniquely Holladay, but also something people could have a little fun with,” said Stephanie Taylor, sales and marketing manager at Holladay Distillery. “Our fans love their bourbon, and they love their dogs. Bourbones brings those two things together in a way that feels natural to our brand, with the added bonus of giving back to animals in need.”

The company will donate $1 from every barrel of Bourbones sold to organizations that help animals in need. This year’s beneficiary is Wayside Waifs, a Kansas City nonprofit that serves animals and families in the area.

Bourbones are intended as an occasional treat or reward, including for training. The treats are sold in barrel-shaped packaging.
