The National Dog Show presented by Purina returns to NBC and Peacock this Thanksgiving, marking another year of celebrating man’s best friend as part of a cherished holiday tradition. This year, Purina enhances the festivities with its Thanksgiving's Top Dog contest, inviting dog lovers to showcase their pets’ “Top Dog Energy” on social media platforms.
Purina said “Top Dog Energy” encapsulates the confidence, charm and playful spirit that makes dogs stand out. Through a nationwide contest, Purina received submissions of photos and videos tagged with #ThanksgivingsTopDog on Instagram and TikTok. After careful consideration, five finalists have been selected to compete for the title of Thanksgiving's Top Dog.
- Captain – a Golden Retriever
- Hoagie – a Bernedoodle
- Leila – a Chocolate Labrador Retriever
- Maple – a German Shorthaired Pointer
- River – an Aussalier
